Shree Ghansyam Wood & Plywood

Our yard is at Plot No 280/2/A on Silvassa Road in the Bhadakmora part of the GIDC. If you drive down that way, you will see the stacks of plywood and timber piled up near the entrance. It smells like sawdust and fresh wood all the time which I personally quite like. We handle a lot of different types of wood and it can get heavy moving it all around the plot. We have some older machines for cutting and trimming, and they make a lot of noise when they are running. The ground is usually covered in wood shavings no matter how much we sweep. It is an outdoor sort of life even though we have a roof over the main storage area. The Silvassa Road is always full of traffic so we have to be careful when the trucks are backing in to load up. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we have, you just walk through the stacks with us and we show you the boards. It is hard work and it keeps our hands rough and dirty. We have a small desk in the corner where we write down the orders in a big ledger. We don't use the computer for everything because the ledger works just fine. It is just the way we have always done things here and we don't see a reason to change.
