Prerna Exports

Our place in Narayan Chamber is right in the middle of Gunjan Gidc, so there is always an industrial feel to everything we do. At 102, we are on the ground level, which makes it easier when the trucks come to pick up the shipments. Prerna Exports is not a quiet office. You can always hear the sound of heavy machinery from the factories nearby and the constant movement of vehicles in the industrial estate. We spend a lot of our time checking over documents and making sure the packing lists match what is actually in the boxes. The walls here are a bit bare, and the furniture is just old wooden desks that have seen better days. We don't really care about the decor as long as we have enough space to move the inventory around. The heat in Gidc can be quite something in the afternoons, so we usually have a couple of noisy fans going full blast. It’s a simple operation where a handful of us handle everything from the initial sorting to the final taping of the cartons. We get to know the truck drivers pretty well since they are always stopping by for signatures. It’s a lot of standing on concrete floors and moving boxes, but it’s the work we know. We just try to stay organized so nothing gets lost in the shuffle of the warehouse.
