Premium Moulding

Premium Moulding is found at Gala No. 101, sitting on a couple of plots numbered 760/7-8 and 761/4-5-6-8 in Village Danbhel Daman. The address is a bit of a mouthful when you have to tell a driver where to bring a delivery. This part of Daman is packed with units just like ours, all lined up in rows. The gala itself is a big open space where the machines are kept, and the sound of the moulding process is pretty much constant from morning until we lock up at night. It can get quite humid being out here in Danbhel, so we usually have the big doors open to catch whatever breeze might be coming off the coast. There is a lot of moving parts to keep track of, and the floors are always covered in bits of material that we have to sweep up at the end of the shift. We have a small corner walled off for the desk and the phone, but most of the time is spent out on the floor. It’s hard work and the days feel long, but that is how things go in this kind of trade. We see the same faces every day, mostly other workers from the nearby plots heading to the small canteens for a quick bite. It is a rough and ready kind of place, built for work rather than looking pretty. We just keep the machines running and the orders stacked up near the entrance, ready for the next truck to arrive and take them away.
