Podar Jumbo Kids

We are located right inside Manek Villa within the Mahalaxmi Co-Operative Housing Society. It’s a handy spot for people living on the Vapi Daman Road in Chala. Being in a residential area like this makes Podar Jumbo Kids feel a bit more like a home than a big institution. Most days are pretty loud with the little ones running around the rooms. We have set up the space with toys and mats and things that kids need to keep busy. It’s not a huge place, but it’s enough for what we do here in Valsad. The staff spends a lot of time wiping sticky fingers and helping the kids learn their ABCs. We don't have a giant playground, but we make use of the space we’ve got. It’s a lot of work looking after toddlers, and things don't always go according to the plan. Sometimes the snack time is a bit chaotic, or someone loses a shoe, but that is just life with small children. We know the neighbors well since we’re right there in the society. Parents usually just walk over to drop their kids off before heading to work. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do; we just look after the kids and make sure they're safe while their parents are busy. It's a small, local operation and we like it that way.
