Mother Teresa High School

Located on J Type Road in the middle of Vapi, this school is right where all the action is. Vapi is a busy industrial town, and you can definitely feel that energy around the school gates. Valsad district is humid, so the building gets that weathered look pretty quickly. We’ve got a mix of students here since so many people move to Vapi for work. The hallways are usually packed during the passing periods. We have a small office near the entrance where the administrative stuff happens. It’s often a bit messy with files and ledgers, but we know where everything is. The classrooms are filled with the sound of the city outside—horns honking and trucks passing by on their way to the factories. We try to keep the focus on the blackboards. Teachers here work hard to keep up with the large classes. There isn’t a huge amount of extra space, so we use every corner of the property. During the rainy season, the road outside gets some puddles, and the kids have to jump over them to get inside. It’s a practical sort of place. We don't spend money on fancy decorations; we just keep the desks sturdy and the lights working. People come here because it’s convenient and it’s been around for a long time. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood landscape in this part of town and we try to do right by the students.
