Mehul Aluminium

Our place is at Plot No 3 in the Neelkamal Apartment building. It's right on Morarji Circle Road. GIDC is always humming with noise from all the factories around here. We are located right opposite the Gujarat Housing Colony. We deal with aluminium products. It’s heavy, dirty work and our hands usually have some grease or metal dust on them by the time lunch comes. The office is just a small corner with a metal desk and some plastic chairs. Most of the space is used for storing the materials. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years. More buildings went up and the road got a lot busier than it used to be. It gets really hot in the summer inside the shop shed, but we have a couple of big industrial fans to keep the air moving. We don't have any fancy brochures or a sales team. People just come in and tell us what they need for their construction or whatever project they are working on. We write things down in a ledger and get to work on the order. My brother and I run the place mostly. It’s a straightforward business. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. Just the name on the gate works for us. It's a bit of a trek to find us if you aren't familiar with GIDC, but once you find the circle, we are right there. We just try to keep the stock moving and the folks getting what they need. It's an okay way to earn a living.
