Mahavir Marble & Granite

Our yard is right on National Highway No-8 in Balwada. You can’t miss us if you’re near the Jai Research Center. Being on the highway means we get a lot of trucks stopping by. Mahavir Marble & Granite is basically a big open space where we keep all the slabs. The sun beats down on the granite all day, which makes it hot to touch, but it’s the best way to see the grain. We keep a bucket of water handy to pour over the stones so the patterns pop out for whoever is looking. It’s a bit dusty because of the highway traffic, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time. The Jai Research Center is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Usually, it’s just a couple of us here, moving things around or checking the inventory. We don’t go in for big advertisements. We just have our sign out front and the stone piled up where everyone can see it. It’s a simple setup. We spend a lot of time just waiting for the next delivery or helping a driver back his truck into the right spot without hitting anything. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and sweating, but that’s the stone business for you. We mostly just drink our tea and wait for the next customer to pull over to have a look.
