Laxmi Pharma Pack is situated right where the road gets busy with long-distance transport. Being out here means we have a bit more space than the shops in the city center. Our daily routine revolves around the packing side of things. There is always the sound of machinery or tape dispensers going in the background. It is a hands-on kind of environment. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the materials and making sure the counts are correct. The dust from the highway sometimes blows in when the big doors are open, so we are always cleaning. We are not a big corporate office; it is more of a workshop feel here. The staff mostly comes from the nearby villages. We know the local tea stall owner and the drivers who pass through. It is a straightforward operation. We do not have a marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on getting the packaging ready for the pharmaceutical companies that need it. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting outside if the weather is not too hot. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just part of being in this location.
