Radhakrishan Kirana Store

My family has been running Radhakrishan Kirana Store for quite some time now. We are tucked away on Hindi School Road near Tanki Faliya. It’s a busy little spot, especially in the mornings when everyone wants their milk and bread before work. We have sacks of rice and pulses lined up against the wall, and the shelves are mostly full of things people need every day like oil, soap, and some snacks for the kids. The shop isn't very big, so things can get a bit crowded when more than three people come in at once. My father used to sit here all day, and now I mostly handle things. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes, and sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we spend a fair amount of time cleaning. People from the neighborhood stop by to chat while they wait for their change. It’s just a normal local shop. We don't have fancy displays or anything. We just keep the staples in stock and try to remember what our regulars usually buy so we have it ready. Some days are slow, especially when it's hot outside, but then evening comes and it picks up again. We stay open late most nights because that’s when people realize they forgot something for dinner. It’s just how things go here in this part of town, where everyone knows each other’s business and we just keep the doors open for them.
