Paint Plus

Our shop is Shop No. 2 at Vaishali Cinema on Koparli Road, right near Gunjan Char Rasta. It’s a very busy intersection, and being near the cinema means there’s always something going on. We sell paint and everything else that goes with it. The shop smells like chemicals and fresh pigments most of the time. We have shelves filled with cans of all sizes. Most of our day is spent mixing colors for people who come in with a specific shade in mind. We have a machine for that, but it still takes a bit of an eye to get it just right. The floor is covered in spots of paint that we couldn't get up, but it gives the place a bit of character. We get all sorts of customers, from people doing up a single room to contractors who need a lot of supplies. Koparli Road is usually humming with the sound of bikes and cars. Sometimes, when a big movie is playing at Vaishali Cinema, the whole area gets even more crowded. We just stay in our shop and keep working through the orders. We aren't trying to be a giant hardware store. We just focus on the paint and making sure people get what they need for their houses. It’s a simple business, and we like it that way. We've been at Gunjan Char Rasta for years now and know many faces.
