Down in Vapi at the J Type Phase-1, you will find our factory at Plot No. 2911-2912. It’s a big area and we have a lot of space to cover. At Vkc Footsteps, we are basically making things for people to wear on their feet. It’s a lot of rubber and plastic and molds. The machines run for most of the day, so there is a constant humming sound that you can hear even from the street. Vapi is an industrial town, so nobody really minds the noise. We have a lot of workers coming in for the morning shift, and it gets quite hectic when the trucks are loading up the finished goods to send them out. The floor is always busy. We don't have any polished marble floors or fancy receptionists. It’s just a place where things get made. Sometimes the smell of the materials is quite strong, but you stop noticing it after the first ten minutes. We’ve been at this location for a good while, and most of the people who live in the labor colonies nearby work in this phase. It’s a simple life, honestly. We focus on the daily numbers and making sure the molds are clean. In the evenings, the gate gets crowded with everyone heading home. It’s just a regular part of the GIDC landscape here, nothing more and nothing less. We've been here for years.
