K-Jhil Scientific Glass

Our workshop, K-Jhil Scientific Glass, is situated at Plot No. 198/2/A in Phase II of the G.I.D.C. area. Because we work with glass, our place looks a little different than the machine shops nearby. We have racks and racks of glass pieces and finished items that we have to be very careful with. One wrong move and something could break, so we tend to move a bit slower and more carefully than the guys next door. The air stays quite warm because of the equipment we use, and you can always hear the sound of the blowers in the background. We aren't really office people. We spend the bulk of our day at the workbenches with our safety gear on. The office part is just a small room with a filing cabinet and a computer that we use when we absolutely have to. Most of the people working here have been doing this for a long time, so they know the materials inside and out. It’s a bit of a specialized world we have here in Phase II. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy websites because the people who need our glass work usually know how to find us. We just keep our heads down, watch our hands, and make sure everything is packed safely before it goes out the door. It’s quiet, focused work that takes up all of our attention.
