We’re located over at Shed No. A-1/4 in Phase-I of the GIDC. This part of the industrial estate is one of the older sections, so the buildings have a bit of character, if you want to call it that. At Elektra Enamel Works, we spend our time dealing with coatings and finishes. It’s a process that involves a lot of heat and specific timing. The shed is usually quite warm because of the ovens. We’ve been in this specific spot for quite some time now. GIDC Phase-I is always humming with noise from all the different factories nearby. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a fancy showroom. We just have our workspace and a small area for keeping our records. Our guys wear overalls and get their hands dirty every day. We don’t really go in for big speeches about what we do. We just make sure the enamel is applied right and the quality is okay. Sometimes the logistics of getting materials into the estate can be a bit slow, but we’ve learned to plan around it over the years. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment. Most of our neighbors are doing similar industrial work. We just show up, do the shifts, and keep the machines maintained. It’s just life in the estate at A-1/4. We drink a lot of tea to stay going.
