Ask Traders

We set up Ask Traders near RK Desai College on Chhiri Koparli Road a while back. It’s a busy spot here with students passing by and the local traffic always moving along the road. Most days start early, opening up the shutters and getting the stock ready for whoever walks in. We deal with various items people need around here. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the road work nearby, but that’s just how it is. We’ve stayed in this same spot because everyone knows where the college is, so it makes it easy to find us. It isn’t a huge place, just enough room for the inventory and a small desk where we handle the paperwork and talk to customers. My brother helps out when things get busy in the afternoon. We don't really have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we keep things organized the best we can. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the traffic on Koparli Road, which can be a bit of a headache. We just try to keep the shelves full and answer the phone when it rings. Most of our regulars are folks from the neighborhood who’ve been coming to us for a few years now. It’s a simple operation, really. We spend most of the day just managing orders and making sure the inventory counts are right at the end of the week.
