Our place, Ananya Fashions Pvt. Ltd., is out at Plot No. 194 in the Second Phase of Gidc. It’s a typical industrial estate layout. You see a lot of trucks and workers moving around this part of town at all hours. We’ve been at this plot for a few years now. It’s a solid building, built for work, not for show. Inside, we handle fashion stuff, mostly just getting the manufacturing side of things sorted. It’s not like a high-end boutique; it’s more of a factory feel. There’s always the smell of new fabric and maybe some machine oil in the air. We have a set routine that starts early in the morning. Everyone knows what they have to do when they walk in. We aren't big on titles or formal stuff here. If a machine breaks, we fix it ourselves. If an order is late, we work a bit longer until it’s done. The lighting isn't the best in some corners of the floor, but we make it work. We’ve got some long-term workers who have become like family over time. We share a lot of stories over our tea breaks in the afternoon. Gidc is a loud place, but once you’re inside our walls, we just get into the zone. We don't put much thought into marketing or looking fancy. We just care about getting the clothes finished. It’s practical work for practical people.
