Global Public School

Global Public School is located right along the Chennai-Bangaluru Highway in Vellore. It’s a busy spot with trucks and cars zooming past all the time. Our gates are kept shut to keep the noise and the dust out as much as we can. Inside, it’s a whole different world. We have a decent-sized building with plenty of rooms for different grades. The staff here is mostly people from Vellore or the nearby towns. We don’t use a lot of corporate language or try to sound like we’re something we’re not. We are just a school. Some days are better than others. Sometimes the internet is slow or the water tank needs cleaning, and we just have to figure it out. We spend our mornings doing assembly and then it’s straight into lessons until the afternoon. The playground gets a lot of use during the lunch hour. We don’t have a big PR team writing for us. This is just a place where teachers teach and kids learn. We have a small library that we’re always trying to add more books to. You’ll see us out there in the mornings directing the school vans and making sure everyone gets inside safely. It’s a lot of routine and hard work, but we’ve been doing it for years now. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the bells ring and the kids are safe.
