Down at Plot No. A-1/179 in the Gidc area, you’ll find Jhaveri Industries. We aren't hard to find if you know the neighborhood. It’s an industrial spot, so there’s always a lot of noise and trucks moving around. We’ve been set up here for a good amount of time now. The building is simple, just four walls and a roof that keeps the rain off our equipment. We do a lot of different things depending on what’s needed that week. It's the kind of place where your hands get dirty and you wear boots every day. We don't spend money on fancy brochures because we'd rather spend it on keeping the tools sharp. Most of the people working here live nearby, so it’s a bit of a local crew. We have our coffee together in the morning and then get straight to the tasks. Sometimes the power goes out in the Gidc, which is a pain, but we just wait it out and get back to it. Jhaveri Industries is just a name on the gate, really. Inside, it’s just us working with metal and machines. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and talk to whoever is closest to the door. We’ve seen other shops come and go, but we’ve stayed put at A-1/179. It’s what we know how to do, and we just keep doing it. Our neighbors are mostly other workshops doing similar stuff.
