If you are looking for us, we are right across from Kasturba Hospital on Lala Lajpatrai Road. We share the space near the Vaidyakiya Rahat Mandal building. It is a landmark that most people in the area recognize. We have been working with stone for a long time. It is heavy, dirty work, but someone has to do it. Our yard is filled with different types of rocks and slabs that we have collected over the months. We don't have any fancy lights or a big glass front. It is mostly just the outdoor area and a small shed where we keep the books. The dust from the stone cutting gets on everything, including our clothes and the old chairs in the office. People come by when they are building a house or fixing up a wall. We show them what we have in the stacks. Sometimes a piece is the wrong size, so we have to figure out how to make it work. It is not always perfect. Natural stone has its own way of looking, and you can't always control the colors. We just try to be helpful when someone walks in. The traffic on the road can be a bit much during the middle of the day, but we are used to it. We just keep our heads down and move the heavy stuff. That is how it goes here every day.
