You can find us on the second floor of the Trade Centre on Station Road. We’re right near Hotel Adina Palace, so there’s always people moving about and cars honking outside. Being at No. 215 means we have to haul parts up and down, which keeps us in shape, I suppose. The office is usually filled with the sound of someone explaining how a dough mixer works or checking on a shipment of ovens. Bhagwani Bakery Machines isn't a quiet place. We have catalogs scattered on the tables and spare parts for bread slicers sitting next to the tea cups. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the crates. We don’t have a lot of space for a lobby, so guests usually just pull up a chair next to whoever is working. The windows look out over the busy street, but we don't spend much time looking at the view. There is always a list of things to do and customers calling from all over to ask about spare parts. Most of us have been working with these machines for so long we can tell what’s wrong just by hearing the motor run. It’s a bit messy, and there’s always a thin layer of dust from the packing materials, but it’s a good place to work if you don’t mind getting your hands a little greasy.
