We are located at Plot No. 718 in the New GIDC area of Gundlav. If you know GIDC, you know it is all about industry and hard work. The roads are wide to accommodate the big trucks, and there is always a haze of dust in the air from all the construction and manufacturing. Silicon Paints India Pvt. Ltd. fits right in with the rest of the plots here. Our facility is a large shed with a small office attached to the side. Most of the action happens in the back where the machinery is. It gets quite loud when everything is running, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. The office side of things is pretty basic with just a few desks, some old computers, and a lot of filing cabinets. We drink a lot of water because it gets incredibly hot in this part of Gundlav during the summer months. There are no fancy lounges or break rooms. We usually just eat our lunch at our desks or sit outside on the steps if there is a breeze. The work is repetitive but it is what we do. We track the numbers, watch the production line, and make sure the trucks are loaded correctly before they head out to the highway. It is a straightforward operation without any hidden layers. We just come here to work and go home when the shift is over.
