Our shop is over at Lot No 4805/1 in the Gidc Estate. We go by Plenty Plastics Pvt. Ltd. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of activity around us. There are trucks moving in and out, and the sound of machinery from the neighbors is constant. We work with plastic, so there’s always a certain smell in the air and bits of scrap on the floor. We try to keep it tidy, but it’s a busy place. Most of the day is spent overseeing the machines and making sure the molds are working right. It’s not a clean-shirt kind of job. We get our hands dirty. The office is just a small partitioned area where we keep the records and take the orders. It gets pretty hot in the summer under the industrial roof, so we have a few big fans going all the time. We don’t do much marketing or anything like that. People in the estate know we’re here if they need something made. We have a small crew and we’ve all been working together for years. It’s a solid routine. We start early, take a lunch break when the power goes out or when we're hungry, and finish up when the day’s quota is done. It’s just a regular factory life, nothing more and nothing less. I guess we’ve been here long enough that the noise doesn’t even bother us anymore. It's just part of the day.
