Down in Vapi, at Plot No. 211 in the second phase of the Gidc, you’ll find us at Advanced Vital Enzymes Ltd. This part of Gujarat is really industrial, so we fit right in with the other factories. Our building is a bit older, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but inside we keep things as clean as we can. Dealing with enzymes means we have to pay attention to the environment in the lab and storage areas. It’s not like a regular warehouse. We have some guys who have been with us since we opened up in Pardi. Most days are spent checking batches and making sure the temperature is right. It’s a lot of routine work that doesn't change much from week to week. We don't have a big sign out front, just the number on the gate. The local roads can be a bit rough after the monsoon rains, which makes getting deliveries in a bit slower. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to make sure the products we send out are what they’re supposed to be. It’s a quiet existence for the most part, just the hum of the cooling systems and the staff going about their business. Sometimes we stay late to finish a batch, but we don't mind the extra time. It is just how it goes here in the Gidc estate.
