Our shed at A-1/58 in the GIDC area of Killa-Pardi is where everything happens for Packwekk Industries. Being in the industrial zone means we are surrounded by other factories and there is always the sound of machinery in the background. It is a practical setup that works for the kind of manufacturing we do. The GIDC can be a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it, but once you find our spot, you’ll see we are usually pretty busy with one thing or another. We focus on the industrial side of things, making sure the machines are running and the output is what it needs to be. The heat can be a bit much in the summer months under the corrugated roof, but we’ve got some fans going to keep the air moving. Most of us have been working in this part of Valsad for a long time, so we know the local suppliers and the guys who run the trucks. It’s a no-nonsense environment where we care more about the quality of the work than how the front office looks. There is always some maintenance to do or a machine that needs a bit of grease, but that is just part of the life here in Killa-Pardi. We like the routine and the fact that we’re actually making something.
