Our mill is spread across Plot No 205, 207, and 209 on Road No 2 in the Gidc Estate. It takes up a fair bit of room because paper making requires big machinery. We have these long lines where the wet pulp goes in one end and comes out as dry paper rolls at the other. It’s a lot of water and heat and steam. Sometimes the air gets really humid inside the building. We handle a lot of scrap paper too, which we break down to use again. You’ll see big stacks of bound waste paper piled up near the back entrance. The rollers are huge and they never really stop turning unless we are doing maintenance. We have a team that works in shifts because you can't just turn these machines off easily. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the pipes and conveyor belts. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us on the floor checking the thickness of the sheets or talking to the drivers. Road No 2 is always busy with trucks, so getting our shipments out can be a bit of a headache during peak hours. We just try to keep the production moving without too many breaks in the paper web. It’s a steady business and we’ve gotten used to the constant hum of the mill.
