Dhanlaxmi Die Casting Industries is situated over on the Mri Estate Station Road in Killa Pardi. We are quite close to the station road so the sound of the trains is something we hear all day long. The workshop is where everything happens and it gets very hot in there because of the casting process. You can hear the machines clanking and the hiss of the metal as we work. It is a noisy environment and we all have to speak up to be heard over the equipment. We have been in Kotlav for a while and the industrial estate is where we feel at home. There is always a layer of oil or metal shavings on the floor by the end of the shift. We aren't some sleek modern factory with robots we are a bunch of people working with our hands and the machines we have had for years. It is a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the molds are set just right. Sometimes things go wrong and we have to start over but that is just how the industry is. We keep a small office space for the bills and the orders but most of our time is spent on the floor. It is a tough way to make a living but it is what we know. The station road is always busy with people coming and going from the trains.
