About Kapadia Children Hospital – Medical & Healthcare in Valsad
Being on the first floor of the Medicentre on Bechar Road makes for an interesting day. Since we are Kapadia Children Hospital, there’s almost always the sound of a kid crying or laughing somewhere in the hallway. It’s a busy building with other offices around us, but you can usually tell which one is ours by the colorful stickers we’ve put on the glass doors to make it look a bit less scary for the little ones. The stairs up to the first floor can be a bit of a climb if you’re carrying a toddler, but most people are used to it by now. The waiting area has a few toys scattered around—mostly blocks and some old books with torn pages—because keeping children still is nearly impossible. We try to keep the place bright, but the light coming in from Bechar Road is often blocked by the taller buildings across the way. The exam rooms are small and practical, with enough space for a parent to sit while we look at the child. It gets quite noisy during the peak hours in the afternoon, and the air conditioner struggles a bit when the room is full. We go through a lot of hand sanitizer and tissues in a day. It’s a messy, loud, and honest kind of place, but that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with kids all day long. We just take things as they come.
