Inter Space Designer

Inter Space Designer is located in Valsad, specifically in the Ganeshwadi area. Our office is in B/104 of the Raj Ratna Apartments. It is a residential building, so it feels very personal when people come by. We don't have a big sign on the street or anything like that. People in Valsad usually hear about us from their cousins or neighbors. Working from an apartment means we have to keep things organized, though my desk is usually buried under papers and pens. I spend my time thinking about how to make small rooms feel bigger. The weather here can get quite hot, so we usually have the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through. It’s a quiet life compared to the big cities like Mumbai or Surat. We mostly work with local families who want to fix up their flats or shops. It involves a lot of sketching on paper before we even touch a computer. I like being in Ganeshwadi because everything is close by. If I need a specific tool or some supplies, I can just walk down the street. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It is just a small operation where we take things one project at a time. It's honest work and it keeps me connected to the community here. There is something nice about seeing your work right down the hall or in the next building over when you go for a walk.
