Vinayak Textile

Our textile workshop is located at Plot No. 1703 in the 3rd Phase of Gidc. It’s a pretty big space because we need room for the long tables and the rolls of cloth that come in every week. There is always a lot of thread on the floor, and the air feels a bit heavy with the smell of new fabric. At Vinayak Textile, we have about ten machines running at any given time, so it gets quite loud during the peak hours of the day. We don't really do much in the way of decoration; the walls are mostly covered in sample swatches and notes about different orders. The 3rd Phase is a bit far from the main gate, so it’s quieter out on the street than some of the other parts of Gidc. Our team mostly stays inside and works through the stacks of material. We’ve got a small break area near the back window where you can see the empty plots next door. It’s been our home for several years now, and we’ve figured out how to keep the machines running even when they act up. We don't have any big slogans, we just try to get the pieces finished and packed up without too many mistakes. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Every now and then, we have to stop and clear out all the dust that collects in the corners.
