Venus Chemical

We’ve been here at Plot 2904-2 for a while now. It’s right near the telephone exchange in the new J type area. Most mornings start with unlocking the heavy metal gate and checking what came in overnight. It gets pretty dusty out here on the road, especially when the big lorries go past, but that’s just how things are in this part of town. Inside, it is mostly rows of containers and the smell of whatever we’re moving that day. My desk is tucked in the corner, usually covered in delivery notes and old pens. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just standing out front waiting for the next truck to pull in. The guys who work here have been around for years, so we all know the routine. We don’t have fancy air conditioning or a big lobby, just the workspace and a small area for tea. Sometimes the telephone exchange workers stop by for a chat. It’s a busy spot but we like the location because everyone knows where it is. It isn't anything special to look at, just a solid building where we get our work done. We try to keep the inventory organized, but sometimes things get a bit crowded when a large shipment arrives all at once. Usually, by five or six, we’re winding down and locking up, ready to do it all again the next day.
