Vapi Mangalore Transport Co.

We’ve been running Vapi Mangalore Transport Co. from this spot in the 2nd Phase of GIDC for quite some time now. If you know the area, we are right near Vapi Paper Mill Ltd. and just across from Testy Khaman. Most days it is pretty busy here with trucks coming in and out. It’s a lot of work coordinating everything to get goods moved from here to Mangalore or wherever they need to go. We keep things simple. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place to get the paperwork done and talk to the drivers. Sometimes the traffic near the mill gets a bit backed up, but we manage to get things out on time mostly. Being in Plot No. 198 puts us right in the middle of the industrial action here in Vapi. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or brochures because the trucks need to move. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere where everyone knows their job. Some of our guys have been with us for years. We just focus on the loads and making sure the routes are clear. It gets hot in Gujarat during the summer, but the work doesn't stop. People around here know where to find us if they need something hauled. We just try to be honest about what we can do and when the truck will actually show up. That is just how we do things here.
