U2 Embroidery

U2 Embroidery operates out of Plot No. 124 and 125 in the GIDC area. Having two plots gives us the space we need for all our embroidery machines. These machines are quite large and they make a steady humming noise all day long. Once you get used to it, it is actually a bit peaceful. Most of our time is spent looking at threads and fabrics. It's a job that requires a lot of patience. If a single thread breaks, the whole pattern can go wrong, so someone has to watch them closely. Our workspace isn't fancy at all. There are bright lights so we can see the stitches and plenty of tables for sorting the finished pieces. The floor is usually covered in tiny pieces of thread, no matter how much we sweep. That is just part of being in this business. We don't have a big corporate office or a sales team. Orders come in and we just try to do a good job on each one. The GIDC is a busy place, and we are just one small part of the activity here. We've been at this location for several years and know the rhythms of the neighborhood well. Most of our workers live nearby and have been with us for a long time. We just focus on the fabric and the designs and keep our heads down to finish the daily orders.
