Suparna Chemicals Ltd.

We are based over at 656-100 in the Shed Area. It’s exactly what it sounds like—a big open space with a high roof where we handle all our chemical work. The floor is concrete and has a few stains here and there from years of moving containers around. Working with chemicals means we have to be careful, so there’s a lot of time spent checking labels and making sure lids are tight. It’s not a quiet place; there’s always the sound of pumps or the forklift moving pallets from one side of the shed to the other. We wear heavy boots and rugged clothes because the work is physical. The air usually has a faint sharp smell to it, which we don’t even notice anymore after being here so long. We have a small office partitioned off in one corner where the paperwork gets done, but most of us spend our time out in the main area. There are no paintings on the walls or carpet on the floor at Suparna Chemicals Ltd. We just have racks of drums and bags of materials stacked up. When it rains, the sound on the metal roof is so loud we can hardly hear ourselves talk. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready for the trucks that come in the afternoon. It’s a basic, hard-working environment where we just focus on the task at hand.
