Rolex Synthetics

The shed we have is at 288/1, C1b in the GIDC area. If you know the industrial estate, you know it gets pretty loud with all the machines running nearby. We do our work here under the metal roof and it gets quite warm when the sun is out. Rolex Synthetics isn't a big name you’d see on a billboard, it’s just the name we use for the work we do with all these materials. There’s usually a bit of a mess on the floor with scraps and bits of stuff from the production, but we sweep it up every evening before we lock up. The commute out to the GIDC can be a pain if you leave late, so we usually get here early when it's still a bit fresh outside. We have a small table where we eat our lunch and talk about whatever is on the news. It’s a basic setup with just what we need to get the job done. Sometimes a machine acts up and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing it ourselves. There aren't any fancy chairs or air conditioning in the main area. We just focus on the orders we have to fill for the week. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy. That’s pretty much the whole story of this place. We don't have many visitors but we are always here if someone needs us.
