Our place is at Plot No. 45/46 in the 1st Phase of Gidc in Vapi. Raveshia Pigments Ltd. is a bit bigger than some of the other shops around here, but it still feels like a local operation. We work with colors and dyes. If you walk through the building, you’ll see different powders everywhere. Sometimes you go home with blue or red dust on your clothes. Vapi is a very industrial city, and the 1st Phase is always buzzing with activity. We have trucks coming in from all over Gujarat. The gates stay open most of the day. Inside, we have some labs where we check the batches. It’s not like a school lab; it’s more practical and messy. We’ve got people who have worked here since the 396195 zip code was first assigned. We have a small staff room where we eat together. It’s a mix of different people, but we get along well. The weather in Vapi can be really rainy, and sometimes the yard gets flooded. We just deal with it. We don’t have any big corporate slogans hanging on the walls. We just focus on getting the pigments right so they can be sent out to whoever needs them. It’s a solid job and we’ve been doing it for a long time. There’s always another batch to mix and another truck to load.
