Pavan Hardware

If you find yourself near the Sardar Chowk in Gidc, you’ll likely see the big water tank first. That’s usually how we tell people to find us. Pavan Hardware is tucked right inside the Sheetal Shopping Centre, at unit 292/12. It isn't a huge place, just a regular shop where we keep the usual stock on the shelves. Most days it’s pretty loud outside with the traffic and people moving around the industrial area. We get a fair amount of dust coming in from the road, so there’s always a bit of cleaning to do on the counters. It’s mostly just the sounds of metal hitting metal and the ceiling fan humming overhead. We don’t have any big flashy lights or anything like that. Just a simple sign and some old wooden stools for when a neighbor stops by to chat. The morning starts with opening the shutters, which can be a bit sticky in the monsoon. Then it's just about seeing who walks in needing a specific bolt or a tool they lost. The shopping centre itself has seen better days, but it’s where we are. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor. It’s practical work. Usually, we close up when the sun goes down and the streetlights by the tank flicker on. It’s a basic routine, nothing too exciting, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
