Our mill is located in the Vapi GIDC area, right across from where the Jaipur Golden Transport office is. We’ve been running the dyeing and printing machines here for quite some time now. It’s a big space but it gets pretty crowded once the fabric starts moving through the lines. The work is mostly about getting the colors and patterns to look right on the cloth, which is harder than it sounds. We have a crew that’s been with us for years and they know exactly how to handle the machines when they start acting up. Vapi is a noisy place with all the industry around, and our mill is no different. It’s hot and the smell of the dyes is always in the air, but that’s just a normal day at the office for us. We don’t spend much time sitting around; most of the work happens on the floor where we can see what’s going on. We handle different types of printing and dyeing orders for various customers. It’s not fancy work, just practical manufacturing that needs a lot of attention to detail. Sometimes we have to work late to finish an order on time, but that’s part of the job. We aren’t interested in being a huge corporation; we just want to run a good mill and keep our workers busy. It’s a straightforward business and we try to keep it that way without complicating things with too many rules.
