We are over here in Vapi, specifically in the first phase of the GIDC industrial area. Makwell Plastisizers and Makwell Organics have been part of this neighborhood for a long time. Our setup is at 57/Dib, and it's basically where we spend all our daylight hours. Being in the chemical and organics business in Gujarat means there is always something going on. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping an eye on the machines. We aren't the type of place with a big shiny lobby. It's an industrial unit through and through. The air smells like work, and the floors are meant for heavy boots, not polished shoes. We have a small group of people who have been with us for years, and we just focus on getting the batches right. Sometimes things go wrong, a pipe leaks or a delivery is late, and we just deal with it as it comes. It's a practical life. We drink a lot of tea while checking the schedules. Vapi is a busy place, and being in the GIDC means we are surrounded by other factories doing the same kind of grind. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the production side of things. It’s honest work, even if it gets a bit messy and loud in the plant sometimes. We don't put on a show for anyone; we just show up and do what needs doing. It is what it is, just a factory in Vapi.
