We run M P Plastics out of our unit at Plot No. C-1 B, 250/5 in the GIDC area. It’s a standard industrial plot where we do all our molding and processing. The smell of hot plastic is something you just get used to after a few days of working here. We have a few injection machines and some older equipment that we’ve repaired ourselves over the years. My brother and I look after the daily operations. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation; we just want to keep the machines running and the orders going out. The floor is often cluttered with bags of plastic granules and finished bins ready for pickup. It's not the cleanest place, but it’s a working factory, not a showroom. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting the machines when they act up. Finding good spare parts can be a struggle sometimes, but we manage to find what we need locally. Our workers have been with us for a long time, so they know exactly how to handle the molds without much supervision. We don't do much advertising. Most of the people we work with have been buying from us for years. They know where to find us if they need something made. We just stick to our schedule and try to keep up with the electricity bills and the raw material costs. It's hard work, especially when the weather is hot, but we like being in control of the work.
