Our place is at Res-8 on the Silvassa Road Line in Vapi. If you know where the Lakarta Hotel is, we’re just behind it, not too far from the Delhi Hotel and the main GIDC Char Rasta. Vapi is a very industrial place, so there’s always a bit of a chemical smell in the air and plenty of trucks moving around. We work mostly with seals, so the shop is full of rubber smells and small parts organized in bins. It’s not a large factory, just a steady operation where we keep our heads down and work. The traffic at the Char Rasta can be a real pain during the morning rush, so I try to get in before the worst of it hits. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet people. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us near the back machines. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, so we’ve seen the hotels and businesses around us change quite a bit. The rain during the monsoon can be heavy here, and sometimes the road gets a bit flooded, but we stay open regardless. It’s a practical business, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We just make the seals that keep other people's machines from leaking. Our desks are covered in samples and order forms, and that is just how we like it. It feels like a real workplace that way.
