Khamir Industries

We are over at Plot No. 296/1 in the Umbergaon GIDC. Khamir Industries is a small operation compared to some of the giants around here. Our plot is tucked away, and it can be a bit quiet on our end of the street sometimes, which we don’t mind. The building is a basic industrial structure, nothing that would win any design awards, but it keeps the rain out and gives us enough space to work. We spend our days mostly on the shop floor. There’s always a machine that needs adjusting or an order that needs to be packed up. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. It is just a few of us making sure the business stays afloat and the customers get what they asked for. The roads in Umbergaon can be a bit rough, especially during the monsoon, so we spend a fair amount of time complaining about the potholes. But we like it here. There is a sense of pride in just showing up and doing the job right. We don't use big words or make grand promises. We just tell people where we are and what we do. If you come by Plot 296/1, you’ll find us in our work clothes, likely covered in a bit of grease or dust. It is honest work, and it keeps us busy. We usually have tea together in the afternoon to take a break from the noise. It’s a simple life.
