You’ll find us over at Plot No. 2906/3 in the first phase of Gidc Vapi. We are right behind the new telephone exchange, which makes it easy to give directions when people get lost. The office isn't very big, but it serves its purpose for all the trading we do. Most days involve a lot of checking lists and making sure the crates are where they should be. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but we don't mind the quiet back here. The floor is concrete and we’ve got some old fans that keep the air moving when the Vapi heat starts to kick in. Dealing with the logistics takes up most of our time. We see a lot of different drivers coming through the gate. Usually, there’s a stack of pallets in the yard waiting to be loaded. We’ve been operating from this spot for some time, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more focused on the stock. It’s a simple setup. We have a small table for tea and a couple of plastic chairs for visitors. No one here wears a suit. We just wear what’s comfortable for moving boxes and sitting at a computer. It’s hard work sometimes, especially when the monsoon rains hit and we have to keep everything dry, but we manage just fine in this little corner of Vapi.
