Design Glass

If you are looking for us, we are tucked away at Plot No. 2907-2. It is inside the Viv Chemical Compound, which can be a bit confusing for delivery drivers because it is right behind the Telephone Exchange in Phase-1 of GIDC Vapi. Design Glass is basically what the name says, we work with glass all day. It is a fragile business, literally. You have to be careful how you move or you end up with a lot of broken pieces on the floor. The workshop is always covered in a fine layer of dust from the cutting and polishing. We have been in this compound for a while now. The Telephone Exchange is a good landmark, otherwise, people might miss our turn. It is not a very big space, but we have managed to fit all our cutting tables and the storage racks in there. Working with glass means you need a lot of light, so we have big openings, but that also means it gets pretty warm in the afternoons. We don't have any corporate slogans or anything. We just take the sheets of glass, cut them to the size people need, and try not to break anything. Most of the guys here are good with their hands. We talk about the local cricket matches while we work. It’s a small team, maybe just a handful of us, and we like it that way because it is less complicated.
