Deepak Engineering

You can find Deepak Engineering at Plot No. 128, right behind Multi Arc in the GIDC area. It’s a typical engineering workshop. We have a few lathes and some milling machines that have been working hard for years. There’s grease on the floor and a thin layer of metal dust on most surfaces. That’s just part of the job. We take on all sorts of repair work and small manufacturing jobs. People from other units in GIDC bring us parts that have worn out, and we try to make them new again or build a replacement. It’s just a few of us here. We don’t have a website or a big marketing team. Most of our work comes from word of mouth or people just walking in because they saw our sign. We keep our tools organized in our own way, though a stranger might think it looks messy. We work long hours when there’s a big order to finish. When things are slow, we spend time maintaining the machines so they don’t let us down later. It’s a practical life. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the jobs we’re doing. The location behind Multi Arc makes it a bit hidden, but we like it that way. It’s quieter than being right on the main road. We just focus on the metal and the measurements. It’s simple, honest work that we’ve been doing for a long time without much fuss or bother.
