Crn Wood Industries

Our workshop is at Plot No. 5622 in Phase-4 of Vapi GIDC. We are right near the Rema Paper Mill, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. As you can guess from the name, we work with wood here. The smell of sawdust is always in the air. We’ve got saws and sanding machines going most of the morning. It’s a dusty job and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We don't try to be something we're not. We just take the raw wood and turn it into what’s needed. The space is a bit cramped because wood takes up so much room. We have to be careful about how we stack things so nothing tips over. Being in Vapi means we are surrounded by all kinds of industries, but we stick to our woodworking. It’s a skill that takes time to learn, and most of the guys here have been doing it for years. We don’t have a big corporate structure. It’s more about the foreman and the workers getting the measurements right. Sometimes we have to wait for the timber deliveries to arrive, which can be slow. We just sit out front and have tea while we wait. It’s a basic life, but we like the work we do. It’s honest and keeps us busy every single day.
