Gulabbhai V. Desai Sons

If you head down to the Main Bazar in Gidc Vapi, you’ll find Gulabbhai V. Desai Sons operating out of the Hariom Cement Agency on S. V. P. Road. It’s a high-traffic spot, and things are usually moving pretty fast. Since we deal with cement, everything has a thin layer of grey dust on it, no matter how much we try to clean. It’s just the nature of the work. We spend a lot of time coordinating with the truck drivers and the laborers who are loading the heavy bags. It is a physically demanding job, and the air is often thick with the smell of the market and industrial exhaust. S. V. P. Road is always packed with vehicles, so getting our deliveries in and out takes a bit of patience and skill. Our office is a small room tucked away at the back where we keep all the ledgers and records. It’s not very fancy, just some wooden desks and old chairs that have seen better days. We’ve been here in the Main Bazar for a long time, so we know most of the people who walk past our door. The heat in Vapi can be intense, especially when you are out in the yard all day. We just get through it one stack at a time. It’s a straightforward life here at the agency, focusing on the basics and staying busy.
