R Excellent Engineer Consultant

My name is part of the shop here at Shed No A-2/259/1. Being an engineer consultant sounds fancy, but mostly we spend our time looking at plans and trying to figure out why things aren't working the way they should. We deal with a lot of local projects. It’s a small office inside the shed, mostly filled with drawings and a few computers that have seen better days. It gets a bit cramped when everyone is in at once. We don't spend much on advertising because word of mouth usually keeps us busy enough. People know where we are. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk and it takes a minute to find what we need, but we always get there. It’s not about being the biggest firm in town. We just want to get the numbers right so the building stays up or the machine keeps running. The coffee is usually strong and the talk is usually about the latest job. Working in an industrial area means you hear the hammers and the saws from the neighbors all day long. It's a good place to be if you like practical stuff. We’ve been at this for a bit now, learning something new with every client that walks through the door. It’s quiet work in some ways, but it requires a lot of thinking and a lot of patience with the details. We just try to provide the information that people need to move forward with their projects.
