About Industrial Chemical Paint – Chemicals in Valsad
If you look for Plot No. 100 in the Gidc Estate, that’s where you’ll find our paint shop. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find home decor samples or fancy lighting; it’s more about industrial stuff. The air always has that sharp smell of thinners and chemicals, which I guess we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We have stacks of metal drums and plastic pails piled up against the walls, some going almost to the ceiling. Some of them have splashes of old paint on the outside from previous mixing jobs. It’s a bit of a rough environment, but it’s where we work every single day. My clothes usually have at least one or two spots of gray or blue paint on them by the time I go home to my family. The guys in the back are usually busy mixing batches or checking the consistency of the latest load. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy out front to attract attention. Most of our neighbors are other factories, so it’s always busy with workers moving back and forth during the shifts. Lunch is usually eaten sitting on an old crate in the shade if we can find some space away from the fumes. We try to keep things organized, but when a big order comes in, the whole place gets covered in lids and stirring sticks. It’s a straightforward business and we just do our part here in the estate.
