Dibishree Engineering Fabrication

If you look across from Lalji Murji Transport in the GIDC Estate, you’ll find us at Plot No. 1225. We go by Dibishree Engineering Fabrication. It’s mostly a lot of welding, cutting, and shaping metal. We have a lot of scrap pieces lying around the yard because we use almost every bit we can. It’s not the neatest place you’ll ever see. There’s usually a blue light flashing from a welding torch somewhere in the back. The guys wear heavy boots and thick gloves because the edges of the steel are sharp. We do fabrication for whoever needs it, from simple frames to more complex structures. It gets loud when the grinders are going, so we don’t do much talking while the work is happening. We take our lunches together under the shade of the small overhang we built. Sometimes people come in with a sketch on a piece of paper, and we figure out how to build it for them. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, and the transport guys across the road are used to seeing us hauling steel in and out. It’s hard work, and your hands get dirty within the first five minutes of the day. But we like the feeling of finishing a job and seeing the final product loaded onto a truck. It’s just us doing what we know how to do best with the tools we have. Nothing fancy, just metalwork that stays put and does its job properly.
