You can find us over in Velparva, which is a small place in the Pardi area of Valsad. The specific spot is called School Falia, mostly because the school is right there nearby. It is a quiet village atmosphere, not like the big cities at all. This is where the Deputy Manager for the technical side sits. The building is simple and reflects the local style of construction in this part of Gujarat. We spend a lot of time looking at technical drawings and going out to check on various projects in the district. It gets very hot here in the summer, and the dust from the road tends to settle on everything if we leave the windows open too long. Our staff is small, just a few people who handle the files and the site visits. We have been at this address, 396125, for several years now. People from the village often stop by just to say hello or ask about the work happening in the area. It is a very hands-on job and we don’t have much time for sitting around. The office has a lot of maps pinned to the walls and stacks of blueprints on the tables. It is a bit messy sometimes but we know where everything is. We just focus on getting the technical details right for the projects we are assigned to and helping the community.
