We are based at 7 Gokul Darshan, up on the second floor in Tokarkhada. It’s a pretty simple building, nothing too flashy or modern. Dadra And Nagar Haveli Industries Association is the group we run from this space. Most of the time, it's just us sitting at our desks, talking to local business owners on the phone or handling stacks of paperwork. Tokarkhada is a busy area, and we are right in the middle of all the industrial activity. Our office is filled with files and old records of the various industries around here. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a bunch of assistants to greet people. We just do the work ourselves. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons when the sun hits the windows, but the old ceiling fans keep the air moving enough. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, so we know the people in the other units quite well. It feels like a small community of workers. We don't use big, fancy words to describe what we do here. We just help coordinate things for the industries in the area. Sometimes there are meetings that go on for way too long, and other days it’s just us catching up on emails and filing. It is a practical office for practical work. We like being accessible to the people who need us. You just walk up the stairs to the second floor and we are right there. It’s a modest setup but it works.
